For my final project in Publication Design, I created a book dedicated to someone who means the world to me—my friend, mentor, and chosen older sister. As she prepared to transition out of college, I found myself facing the reality of campus life without her constant presence. This project became more than just a design assignment; it was a way to process change, celebrate our bond, and ultimately, let her go while holding onto everything she’s taught me.

Through thoughtful layout design, carefully chosen typography, and personal reflections, I crafted a publication that encapsulated our shared experiences, laughter, and lessons. Every design choice—from page composition to color palette—was intentional, meant to reflect both the bittersweet nature of goodbyes and the beauty of growth.

This project challenged me to blend storytelling with editorial design, pushing me to create something deeply personal yet visually compelling. While it was difficult to design something so emotionally charged, it also reinforced my belief in the power of publication design to preserve memories and honor relationships.
