Hey there, I’m Sherisa!
Hi, I’m Sherisa Smith—a passionate creator, storyteller, and advocate. As a Graphic Design major with minors in Photography and American Sign Language, my work is a reflection of who I am: a proud Black designer dedicated to celebrating and uplifting the Black community. Design isn’t just what I do; it’s how I connect, inspire, and create spaces where stories and voices are seen, heard, and valued.
My heart lies in typography, package design, publication, web design, and brand identity. I find joy in the way letters take shape, how packaging can hold meaning, and how a well-crafted identity can tell an unforgettable story. With nearly three years of experience as a photographer and a strong foundation from courses like Digital Tools and Methods and Advanced Photography, I’ve developed an eye for capturing authenticity and translating it into designs that speak to the soul.
I believe in the power of design to move people, build bridges, and leave lasting impressions. Whether it’s through a lens or a layout, I aim to weave joy, culture, and love into every project. For me, design is more than a career—it’s a celebration of life, community, and the beauty of individuality.
