This publication is a love letter to my ever-growing collection of houseplants. As someone who finds joy in greenery, I wanted to create a personal yet informative guide on how to care for the different plants I own, from low-maintenance pothos to more finicky calatheas. Each page combines thoughtful design with helpful care tips, making it both visually engaging and practical for fellow plant lovers.
As my first major publication project, this book was also a deep dive into mastering InDesign. Navigating layout design, typography choices, and print considerations was a challenge, but one that pushed me to grow as a designer. Balancing readability with aesthetics, figuring out proper text flow, and ensuring consistency across pages were all learning moments that shaped this project. Despite the hurdles, I’m proud of how it came together—a testament to both my passion for plants and my evolving skills in editorial design.
This project solidified my love for publication design, and I can’t wait to continue exploring how storytelling and visual design can come together in meaningful ways.
